John de Wit is Professor of Interdisciplinary Social Science, at Utrecht University. John is a social psychologist by training, who works across social science and health promotion and public health. John’s interest and expertise are in understanding the individual, social and structural factors that shape health outcomes and in strategies to address these.
Public health practitioners typically draw on their expertise and experience to design creative solutions for public health problems. However, interventions are more effective when informed by the principles of health promotion science. In this session, we will briefly discuss the systematic planning of interventions, with a focus on the co-challenge topic.
